  • Scott Bain passed away on July 17, 2010. He and his wife Christa attended LOAS I & II conferences on Star. (Obituary)
  • Claudine Blanchard passed away on May 9th, 2010. She had attended the IRAS conference for several years.
  • Jean Bouricius passed away on May 30. Jean and Willard and their boys first came to All Star II in 1962, and came to many different conferences over the years, including Natural History, All Star I and International Affairs.
  • Daniel Bush, former Pelican and Arts and LOAS Conferee married Oshrat Cohen on November 27th 2009.
  • An extremely cute baby named Henry Wayne Cordes was born November 14, 2009 to Erik & Brooke Cordes.
  • Martha Prouty DeNormandie, an early Star Women sister, went on to the next phase of her journey February 25. (Obituary)
  • Homer Dietmeir passed away on November 26, 2009. He and his wife Joyce have attended conferences from the late 1960’s to the early 1990’s. They attended IRAS and Laity.
  • IA conferees Gretchen and John Donehower welcomed William Philip Donehower on August 8, 2010. He looks forward to visiting Star next year with big brother Jack!
  • Former Pelican Gray Stockmayer and Rosaria Pilato were married on Nantucket on September 12, 2010.
  • Myrtle Donohue, Star Island’s oldest Corporation Member passed away in September. Along with her husband Ed, they spent over 40 years during the summers helping with improvements and beautification of their beloved “Star.” (Obituary)
  • Dr. George E. C. Evans passed away on January 16th, 2010. George was a corporation member and a long time LOAS1 Attendee.
  • Joyce S. Hirtle, wife of Parker Hirtle, Passed away on January 11th, 2010. She had attended All Star II for many years. (Obituary)
  • Ryan James Merrill was born on August 27th. He is the son of Steven and Christina Merrill of Star Gathering II.
  • Mary Mooney-Getoff passed away on July 7th. She was a long-time International Affairs conferee who started attending in 1967. (Obituary)
  • David Murray passed away April 10, 2009. He attended IA, IRAS, Arts, and RE for many years.
  • Hazel Rich, former Star Island Gift Shop volunteer, LOAS conferee, and pelican parent (and grandparent) passed away. (Obituary)
  • Daniel E. Sekellick, longtime, beloved member of the Arts Conference, died on March 27th. He was funny, generous, and gentle, as integral a part of Arts as the sea itself. (Obituary)
  • Art Smith passed away in May. He and his wife Wilma have attended Life on a Star Conferences for many years. (Obituary)
  • Dan Stockwell passed away on September 15th, 2009. He has attended the LRE conference with his wife Merry.
  • Janice Warren passed away on November 14th, 2003. Janice attended that ARTS conference for several years in the 1990’s, worked for the ISA and the Sumuttynose Stewards. (Obituary)
