Writers in the Round: Songwriters and Poets Retreat
Writers in the Round is a four-day retreat for songwriters and poets whose spirit is supportive, creative and collaborative. It is a time for stretching boundaries, playing with new forms and ideas, learning from one another and breathing fresh salt air. We welcome all levels of artistry.
WITR offers daily classes, unstructured time for composition and sharing, small group workshops and nightly song and poetry swaps. Past retreats drew writers from all over New England and as far away as Wisconsin. Instructors are supportive of risk-taking for writers wanting to expand their repertoire, as well as encouraging for emerging artists. Past participants have noted that the experience was remarkable for sparking creativity and providing a safe, yet stimulating learning environment.
