Do you know someone who might like Star Island? This is the summer to introduce a friend to your conference or another conference. If you bring a newcomer to Star Island for a conference, they will get a 10% discount – and so will you! In fact, you can receive as much as 50% off your room and board (for bringing five newcomers for a conference). Discounts are applied to room and board bills, on island.

• Discount recipients must be adults (18+ years of age), with the sole exceptions of our three youth conferences, Youth Empowerment and Spiritual – Health, Star Gathering I Youth, and Star Gathering II Youth.
• In order to receive a discount, the form must be received by the conference registrar two weeks before the start of your conference. Discounts will not be granted unless the form is received by the registrar by this date.
• This discount program only applies to people who attend the entire conference – conference overnight guests do not qualify.
• All discounts apply to the 2012 conference season, are not transferable, and cannot be combined with any other promotional offer. Discounts do apply to returning and new Shoaler(s) attending different conferences.

What qualifies as a New Shoaler?
Anyone that has not registered/attended a conference in the past 5 years.

If a Returning Shoaler family is successful in getting a New Shoaler individual to register does the entire family get a 10% discount, or just one member of the family?
The program works on a one-to-one basis, so just one member of the family receives the 10% discount if a family recruits one individual.

Will SIC give the 10-10 discount to conferees already getting scholarship assistance from their conferences?
Yes. We will not ask conferences for individual scholarship award information.

Does the New Shoaler have to attend the same conference as the Old Shoaler?
No, as long as the conferences are comparable in length.

Are people who have already applied eligible for the 10-10 discount?
Yes. This discount is available to everyone who has registered already or who will be registering for the 2012 season.

Is the 10-10 discount(s) applied to the entire bill?
No. The discount applies to the room and board portion of the bill only.
