Financial Aid

If paying at the full rate would preclude you and your family from attending a conference, please inform your conference registrar. Many conferences have established scholarship programs to help in cases of hardship. For more information on these programs, including deadlines and instructions for applying, see conference websites (links below).

Star Island Corporation also has a financial aid program and has set aside a total of $22,000 to support this effort. The confidential program is available to individuals and families who are registered for a conference. Please note awards are always partial, and depend on the number of applications received. Although you may apply for both a conference scholarship and financial aid from Star Island Corporation, you may not accept both, and will have to choose between them. Individuals and families who are eligible for one of our discounts may also apply for financial aid.

Star Island Financial Aid Deadlines

If your program starts on or before July 12, the application must be received by May 1. Applicants notified of award by May 15.

If your program starts between July 13 and August 23, the application must be received by June 1. Applicants notified of award by June 15.

If your program starts on or after August 23, the application must be received by July 1. Applicants notified of award by July 15.

Please consider the following when applying for Star Island Financial Aid

Applicants are only elligible to accept aid from either their particular conference or Star Island. You are invited to apply to both conference scholarships and Star Island financial aid, but are allowed to only pick one.

Applicants may receive both Star Island financial aid and a Star Island discount.

Star Island financial aid awards will only cover part of room and board, not the full amount.

The total amounts given out in financial aid are dependent upon the number of approved applicants.

Financial aid applicants must already have registered for the conference he or she is seeking aid.
