2010 Room and Board Rates
Our room and board rates are affordable and include housing and meals. In an effort to be family friendly, there is no room and board charge for children under six years of age. Please see individual conference pages for rate details. View the Conference Room and Board rate chart for a complete list of rates.
Room and Board Deposit
Star Island Corporation requires a deposit toward room and board for each person age six and over. The amount of this deposit is $150 for conferences five days or more in length and $75 for conferences four days or less in length. The deposit is due at the time of registration and is refundable up to six weeks prior to the conference start date. Deposit refunds requested within six weeks of the conference start date and resulting from exceptional circumstances are made at the sole discretion of the Star Island Corporation; inquire directly to the Island Registrar. (Note that all other registration inquiries should be directed to the conference registrar).
Conference Registration Fee
The conference registration fee covers the cost of conference programs (such as conference staff and food for social events). Each conference determines this amount independently of Star Island Corporation. Most conferences’ registration fees are refundable up to the same date as the room and board deposit.
Minor Medical Release Form
Any person under 18 years of age who is attending a conference without a parent or legal guardian is REQUIRED to have a Minor Medical Release Form completed, signed by a parent or legal guardian, and returned to the conference registrar before the application can be accepted.
Young Conferees
Until September, island staff provides child monitoring services every evening from 8 to 11 p.m.
During scheduled adult activities, most conferences plan a full children’s program, including child care for those under three. Details of each conference’s children’s program may be found in the conference listing or by calling the conference registrar.
If you are bringing children that are less than four years old, please read Bringing Young Children to Star for some helpful information.

This annual publication is sent to our mailing list every winter. If you are new to Star Island, please call our office (603) 430-6272 to request a copy, or download it here.
