Experience the Isles of Shoals in a Whole New Way
Discover the Isles of Shoals through all your five senses: Sight, Sound, Touch, Taste, and Smell. Join the Isles of Shoals Historic & Research Association as we rediscover this magical place in a variety of ways: stand in the footprints of artist Childe Hassam when we visit Appledore Island, learn photography tips from local photographer Alexandra de Steiguer’s and be amazed at her work, try vegetarian seafood dishes prepared by Rutledge Marine Lab’s Arthur Eves, meet the Dawn Birds, and relax in quiet contemplation of the sound of the sea and the smell of the salt air, be a guest at Celia Thaxter’s Salon, and compete in a kayak/dory race to Smuttynose Island. As always there will be time for relaxing on the porch, laughter and conversation at ISHRA’s daily Social Hours, Chapel Service by candlelight, and a guided art class. It will be a wonderful five days full of all things Shoals.
