This Labor Day will be fun! Reflect on the contemporary relevance of Sabbath through discussion, exercises for body, mind and spirit and fun activities. The secular wisdom of the “slow” movement and “take back your time” will enhance faith-based explorations, and there’ll be time for contemplation, recreation or porch sitting.

Workshop leader Maren C. Tirabassi is an ordained United Church of Christ pastor, the author of 17 books. She travels throughout the country facilitating workshops on creative worship, youth ministry, elder care and liturgical writing.

Join us for a week devoted to “practicing presence,” through formal silent group meditation, solitary nature contemplation, mindful socializing and savoring little moments throughout the day. Evening chapel services will explore facets of our “meditation and simplicity” theme. This retreat is suitable for beginning to advanced meditators from many traditions and faith backgrounds.
