The Gift Shop

The Star Island Gift Shop now has an online store!

All proceeds generated from the Star Island Gift Shop go to the Isles of Shoals Association, Unitarian Universalist, which provides scholarships, conference programs and equipment to Star Island.

Take a look at Star Island—a beautiful island off the coast of New Hampshire that offers week long and weekend conferences and retreats from June to September. Star Island offers many interesting conferences on a range of subjects like nature and natural history, art, matters of the spirit, yoga and more. And because Star Island has historic connections to Unitarian Universalism and the United Church of Christ, it has a liberal spiritual quality that is renewing and uplifting. It's a great place to make new friends, connect with your family and friends or spend quiet time by yourself—a beautiful place to play or just unwind. Some people like to go to Star Island for a special conference and others think of it as a quiet and reflective place for retreat with natural beauty and great people.

Can I come out for a day trip?
Day trips are available from mid-June until mid-September. The Uncle Oscar travels from Rye Harbor to Star Island about four times a day, allowing you to tour the island, have a picnic or enjoy lunch in our dining room at your leisure. You can also bring your own boat, although moorings are limited. See our Day Visitors page for details.

How do the conferences work?
If you want to stay on the island for more than just a day trip, the conferences are where it's at. We offer conferences & retreats lasting from 2 to 7 days on a variety of subjects--from photography to international affairs to family conferences in the spirit of the United Church of Christ and Unitarian Universalism. Each conference is independent and self-administered. See the conference calendar page for more information, including contact information for each conference's registrar.

How do I register for a conference?
All the details about how to register are published in our annual conference guide book, called the Blue Book. You can also email any conference registrar if you need help.
