Star Island Corporation may require sexual offender, criminal, and/or driving record background checks.

Availability

The majority of our employees work during the regular conference season, which runs from June 11th to September 17th. We offer seasonal positions from early April to late October.

Although there is some flexibility in hiring to accommodate the opening of schools and colleges in the fall, preference is given to those who can work for the full conference season.

    Describe your history of contributing to community, including volunteering, advocacy, leadership experience, and communal living?

    The staff performs a weekly talent and variety show for the conference guests. There is also a Pelican Chorus, which sings at the finale of this show. If interested in participating, how would you be able to contribute to the Pelican Show?

    First-Year Applicants: If you have never worked on Star Island, you must submit two references by mail or fax. Without these forms, your application will be considered incomplete. Mailed reference forms must be postmarked by January 31st.

    Although it is not required, we encourage applicants to submit a resume by email, mail, or fax to accompany this application. New applicants may receive a preliminary telephone interview.
