Star Island employees rescue boaters from sinking vessel

Former Pelican nabs James Beard award

During the prestigious 2012 James Beard Foundation Awards, former Star Island employee Christina Tosi, of Momofuku Milk Bar in New York City, walked away with the incredibly impressive Rising Star Chef of the Year award. The Beard awards are the highest honor for North American food and beverage professionals. Huge congratulations to you, Christina!
