Dover Yoga:
Anatomy, Alignment and Adjustments Training

Friday, August 8 to Monday, August 11

Conference Site: doveryoga.com

Learn the language of your own beautiful body and how to address individual structural alignments in your students. This retreat is geared towards yoga teachers and interested practitioners who have a strong interest in how to use good body mechanics to obtain a juicy, rich, injury-free, life-long yoga practice.

This retreat will include approximately 10 hours of lecture and hands on practice teaching time. We will focus on an in-depth look at the anatomy of the hips, spine, and shoulders. Yoga postures and hands-on adjustments that correspond to these areas will be targeted (in particular, standing postures, hip openers, twists, forward bends, back bends, and if time allows, inversions). We will also explore the use of appropriate language when working with students to help avoid common yoga teacher cueing errors that often result in difficult and sometimes dangerous misalignments in the body.

Not all about work, we will have plenty of time for rest and play in between all of our learning as we relax on the porch rockers on beautiful Star Island!

All attendants should have working knowledge of the major bones and muscles of the body.

Registration/Room and Board: The cost of the retreat includes lodging, meals and transportation to and from the island. Single, double, and triple occupancy rooms are available.
