This conference is currently on a short waitlist. Contact registrar with questions.

The All Star I Conference WILL come back in 2008! We invite you and your family to join us as we gather for a peaceful week on our beloved Star Island. We have activities planned as well as time for healing, relaxation, and spiritual renewal. Children will join with their respective age groups under the guidance of our wonderful children's staff. For adults, the focus of the morning is a series of talks by our guest speaker, Bernd Heinrich. Options for the rest of the day include: yoga, swimming, writing, painting, walks and talks on the rocks, tennis, and spending time with friends. Evenings feature musical celebrations of all types. A conferee-led candlelight service in the chapel brings our day to a close.

Theme: The Birds, The Bees, The Trees, and the Rest

We are thrilled to announce that Bernd Heinrich will be our featured speaker this year. Bernd is an internationally renowned biologist who has spent the last 35 years looking at the world around us and questioning the who, what and where of why it is. Pioneering the field of physiological behavioral ecology, he has discovered collaborative relationships in ravens, the social economies of bees, and opened new vistas into the complex relationships between flora and fauna. Far from the remote academic, Bernd Heinrich is famous for his enthusiastic, wide reaching, and outgoing explorations of natural questions. His profound insight, whimsical humor, incredible energy (he was also a pioneer of ultra-marathon running!), and unflinching desire to find out "Why", have made him a charismatic and inspirational teacher and mentor. Come spend a week with us, and be guided through a thoughtful examination of the world around us, and our place in it.

Minister: Our beloved friend, the Rev. Dr. Charles Close will be joining us this year.
