Enjoy talks on the rocks and walks on the rocks; painting and dancing; kids and games and classes and stories, choirs and colors of evening. Tennis and softball and Frisbees and kites; speakers and singers, pickers and players and sitting and knitting. Brains and brawn, exhilaration and meditation; swimming and volleyball, expectation, exhaustion, and showering. The sun, the sun, the moon, the stars, oh the stars; and candles and sandals, soothing and singing, and the grass and the flowers; the ocean, the sails, the masts and the waves, and the porch and the friends, oh the friends. Guest speakers Gretchen Cryer and Nancy Ford are best known for I'm Getting My Act Together and Taking It On The Road, the first feminist musical hit. They also wrote the American Girls musicals which ran for ten years in New York, Chicago, and L.A. The Last Sweet Days of Isaac was a big hit off-Broadway, and they wrote last year's success, Anne of Green Gables. Between the two of them they have two Emmys, an Obie, a Drama Desk Award, an Outer Critics' Circle Award, an Ed Kleban Award, two Jefferson Awards, a Grammy nomination, two Writers' Guild Awards, & four honorary doctorates. They wrote Shelter for Broadway, and Now is the Time for All Good Men was the first anti-Vietnam war musical. Hear talk of the Broadway season and enjoy excerpts from these shows plus their new musical Einstein and the Roosevelts, which is working its way to New York.
Minister: The Rev. Susie Phoenix is our minister of the week. Well known to the Isles of Shoals, Rev. Phoenix began attending All Star II as a child. She is Interim Minister at the First Congregational Church of Lee, MA and has dual standing as a UU and UCC minister.

Registration: A room & board deposit of $150/person and registration fee of $100 for adults (+18) and $85 for children (up to $370/family) are due with registration. $10 of the registration fee from each individual will be donated to the Ginny Levine Shoalership Fund. Additional donations to this fund are welcome. Please mail ONE CHECK, payable to "All Star II Conference," and completed registration form to Allen Armstrong, 105 Spruce St., Portland, ME 04102 (207) 774-1682, as2registrar@maine.rr.com. Each Adult Child out of high school must register separately. Registration begins March 10. Completed registrations postmarked before then may be treated as if postmarked on March 10. Registrations postmarked after March 10 may be accepted, space available, according to postmark date. The room & board deposit and registration fee are refundable until May 22.
