Midweek Retreat I

Monday, September 7 to Friday, September 11

Step back in time for five wonderful days to a slower pace for rest, relaxation, and renewal. All adults are welcome; singles, couples, families and groups. If uninterrupted time for reading, talking with old friends, making new friends, dozing, painting, basking in late summer sun, or sitting alone in peace and quiet with the ocean all around sounds like heaven, Midweek I may be just what you want. All events except orientation are optional.

Because the island is not crowded and there are many private spaces, this is a good place to hold a family reunion, gather a group of old friends or bring a covenant group. An ordained minister gives the morning chapel. Evening chapel is by Midweek I members who have a special message, poem, talk, or piece of music they would like to share. Join us walking in silence up the hill to chapel each evening in a candlelight procession - A magical experience.

Minister: Reverend Mary Edes. Reverend Mary was ordained in 2000, and has served the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Eastern Slopes in Tamworth, NH since 2002.

Registration: A room & board deposit of $75.00 and a registration fee of $25.00 per person is due with registration. Please mail ONE CHECK , for $100/person payable to "Midweek Retreat I," completed registration form (both sides) and business-sized SASE to Jan Collier, 203 Cass Street, Portsmouth, NH, 03801-4942; (603) 431-2344; colliers1192@comcast.net. The registration deadline is August 1; forms postmarked after August 1 are accepted on a space available basis. The room & board deposit and registration fee are refundable until July 27.
