Theme: "That's a Great Question!"

Minister of the week: Rev. Dr. Edward Horstman, Sr. Pastor of Immanuel Congregational Church, Hartford, CT. Rev. Horstman will help us to lift up five of some of the most intriguing questions raised through the Biblical stories. Thinking and wrestling with these questions will give us an opportunity to identify some of the key questions in our own lives. We are lucky to have Rev. Horstman return to lead our spiritual time together. Dr. Horstman is a 2007 recipient of a Lilly Endowment Clergy Renewal Grant and has studied liberating the imagination for worship and service with Auburn Seminary in NY.

Speaker of the week: Tom McCabe, a Parent's Choice Award winner who has shared his tales and classroom workshops with more than a million people throughout the United States and abroad during the past twenty five years.

Theme: Telling our Stories.

A popular conference speaker and workshop leader, Tom has lectured at Dartmouth College, Smith, UConn, Mt. Holyoke College, Stonehill, UMass and Brooklyn College. Tom is also the director of The Teacher's Institute at Smith College. His devotion and effectiveness have been noted in a citation from the Massachusetts State Senate, and Tom holds a unique distinction: he is the first storyteller ever to be invited to perform at The White House. Tom will help us, through journaling and inter-active activities, to share and tell our own stories with our family and friends.

Registration: A room & board deposit and program fee are due with registration. The room & board deposit is $150 per person and will be credited toward your final bill on island. The program fees are used to pay the costs of operating the conference programming and are as follows: $100/adult (18 and over), $100/youth (14-17), and $75/child (13 and under). Please mail ONE CHECK, payable to "Star Island UCC," along with your completed registration form, and business-sized SASE ($0.63) to Lori and Tim Benson, PO Box 298 Onset, MA 02558, 508-273-7672, sg2reg@verizon.net (NOTE: This email address has changed since the publishing of the Blue Book). Registration begins March 10. Registrations postmarked before then will be treated as if postmarked on March 10. Registrations postmarked after March 10 will be accepted, space available, according to postmark date. The room & board deposit and program fee are refundable until June 26.

Scholarships: Scholarship assistance is available; please inquire with the registrar at the time of your registration for an application. Applications are due no later than June 1. Notification will be given by June 15th.
