Quilting 2025
September 1 - 5 or September 8 - 12
A quilting conference is a relaxing, dream vacation for new and experienced quilters when the setting is the lovely and historic Star Island and the Oceanic Hotel. We have a theme contest each year for registered quilters – what will 2025 be? Regardless of your quilting preference – modern, traditional, bright, or scrappy, all are welcome. You bring your sewing machine, projects, fabric and quilting tools. We will supply the ironing boards, irons, cutting tables, door prizes, games and demonstrations. With an amazing setting for a quilting conference that includes your room, your meals and your ferry to and from the island, all you need to worry about is what to sew next! Jean Kearney and Jaci Lawson, your quilting Captain and First Mate, will be arranging special events such as parties, ice cream socials and games. Other activities are available on the island such as history lectures, kayaking, rowing, walking tours, photography opportunities and massages. All activities are optional – you can sew all day and all night if you choose. We have early birds and night owls and lots of time to work on your favorite quilting projects. If you have joined us before, welcome back! If you are new to our conference, welcome aboard!
