While many guests join us for our vibrant and inspiring conferences, Star Island welcomes visitors seeking a brief, tranquil escape with our Personal Retreat option. Perfect for those wanting to experience the serenity of the island for just one night, Personal Retreats offer a flexible way to enjoy all that Star has to offer—on your own terms.
Availability & Booking
Personal Retreats for the 2025 season are available between June 15 and September 14, with reservations opening on May 15. Requests are reviewed based on availability, and once confirmed, our Island Registrar will email you directly to finalize your booking.
Please note: Personal Retreats are not available during these high-demand periods:

Accommodations
Our guest rooms are simple and comfortable, typically featuring twin beds and shared bathrooms. Please be aware that special room accommodations are limited and may not be available for Personal Retreat guests.
Personal Retreat rates are per person and include sleeping accommodations and meals while you are on Star Island. Ferry transportation to and from Star Island is not included. Ferry services to Star Island are located in Portsmouth through the Isles of Shoals Steamship Company and at Island Cruises in Rye.
