Starry Night Community Fundraiser

We look forward to welcoming you to this lively event, whether you know Star Island well or are just in the mood for good conversation and entertainment. We are excited to have Diane Taraz as the featured speaker this year. Before and after her talk, you are welcome to participate in the raffle, including local experiences, gift cards, and art. As well as food and beverages provided by local breweries and restaurants.
Our silent auction will be an online auction coming in December 2023. Stay tuned for more information!
Speaker- Diane Taraz
Diane Taraz presents songs enjoyed by both sides during the American Revolution, exploring the fascinating world behind the lyrics. In colonial dress, she sings and accompanies herself on a mountain dulcimer and an instrument similar to the English guitar, which women played in Colonial times. Her crystal-clear voice is the perfect vehicle for songs usually sung without instruments.

Location
Starry Night occurs at the Discover Portsmouth Center at 10 Middle Street in Portsmouth, NH. Limited parking is available behind the building. More parking locations, including the Foundry Garage, can be found at various public lots and garages a short walk away, ranging from 1 to 10 minutes. A ramp into the Discover Portsmouth Center can be found at the rear entrance. The Discover Portsmouth Center is located within Portsmouth’s historic downtown. Numerous restaurants, cafes, and bars are a short walk away. You might consider continuing your Starry Night conversations over a meal after the event.
Online Option
This year, we will also offer an online option for Starry Night. The online option will consist of watching the talk delivered by Diane Taraz. We anticipate being able to share questions online viewers have with Diane during the Q&A portion of the event. The online option excludes silent auction, music, or refreshments.
