A quilting conference is a relaxing, dream vacation for new and experienced quilters when the setting is the lovely and historic Star Island and the Oceanic Hotel. The rocking chairs are waiting and the sewing machines are humming. Touring the island, soaking in the atmosphere and quilting with old friends and new, are just a few of the island pleasures available out on Star Island. Ocean breezes, the call of the seabirds and the chanting of the crew as boats arrive and leave the dock, are the amazing setting for a quilting conference that includes your room, your meals and your ferry to and from the island. Jean Kearney and Jaci Lawson, your quilting Captain and First Mate, will be providing demonstrations and arranging for special events such as parties, ice cream socials and games.
