Inquire Within

What makes your spirit feel cared for? At Star Union, we will spend the week tending to a loving connection between hands, heart, and mind. Using the talents and camaraderie of our community, we will aim to provide the conference with new opportunities for that connection: through making art, music, writing, and exploring the natural beauty of the island. Each morning, there will be a short and fun community activity. That will be followed by an array of mini-workshops such as printing, stitching, writing, meditation, harmonizing, or foraging. The children’s program, led by a Montessori art teacher, will enjoy similar activities and themes. In the afternoons, we’ll revive an historical Shoals tradition: a salon-style artist hang-out, enjoying conversation together while (if we wish) continuing to work on projects from the morning. We’ll also have our beloved fellowship hour, a few evening chapel services, yoga, and lots of late-night music and fun.

Youth Programming
