This Wednesday’s episode of New Hampshire Chronicle on WMUR returns to the Shoals to shine a light on rebuilding the White Island lighthouse.
On a clear day you can see the lighthouse on White Island from all along the NH Coastline. It has been guiding mariners since the early 1800’s. It has also been battered, cracked, and the 110 foot walkway has been washed away.
Tonight we set sail for the iconic location and bring you a story of rebuilding. It started with some schoolchildren and their teacher and it has lead to some good old Yankee craftsmanship and ingenuity.
